Boston – The campaign of Mike Lake, Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor for Massachusetts, received another endorsement Wednesday from Mass-Care.
Citing his passion for public service, economic development and social justice, Executive Director Ture Richard Turnbull said Mike Lake has the experience needed to serve the people effectively and be a powerful advocate for healthcare.
“Mass-Care is proud of our endorsement of Mike Lake for Lt. Governor,” Executive Director Ture Richard Turnbull said. “He is a diligent and passionate public servant who understands the value of Single Payer healthcare in Massachusetts. He’s advocated for it and has the progressive values to help lead the Commonwealth lead the nation again.”
Lake said he was humbled to have the support of Mass-Care.
“I am proud to have the endorsement of Mass-Care. They are an organization dedicated to the public good and understand the importance of advocacy in healthcare. I am proud to support Single Payer and will continue to do so.”
A former Clinton appointee, Lake is the President and CEO of Leading Cities. He launched his campaign for Lieutenant Governor in March 2013 and has amassed support from activists, business leaders, labor unions, social justice organizations and government leaders, including former Governor Michael Dukakis.
