Boston – The campaign of Mike Lake, Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor for Massachusetts, earned a major endorsement Wednesday from Rep. Jerry Parisella (D-Beverly).
“I am proud to endorse Mike Lake as the next Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts. I’ve known Mike for years and we both agree that we must properly support our public schools and ensure Massachusetts remains number one in providing support to our veterans. With Mike as the next Lieutenant Governor, the people will have someone who understands their needs and concerns.”
Citing Parisella’s record on veteran’s affairs and public service, Lake said that he was proud to have the support of Parisella.
“I am proud to have the support of Rep. Parisella,” Lake said. “Jerry is an excellent public servant who is thoroughly knowledgeable about veteran’s affairs and major social issues. He and I see eye-to-eye on many matters, including veteran’s affairs and economic development. As Lt. Governor, I will be committed to serving everyone, particularly veterans.”
Jerry Parisella represents the 5th Essex district in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. He currently serves as vice chairman of the Committee on Veterans and Federal Affairs and on the Transportation and Election Laws Committees. Parisella’s work experience includes serving as an attorney in private practice, Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Salem and with the City of Beverly Law Department.
A former Clinton appointee, Lake launched his campaign for Lieutenant Governor in March 2013. He is the President and CEO of Leading Cities and has amassed support from activists, business leaders, labor unions and government leaders, including former Governor Michael Dukakis.
