Boston – The campaign of Mike Lake, Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor for Massachusetts, received another endorsement Thursday from State Rep. Cleon Turner (D-Dennis).
“I am endorsing Mike Lake as the next Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts because this is an office that should be occupied by someone who is smart, hardworking, creative and entrepreneurial. Mike brings all of these thing to the office and more,” Turner said. “His experience in the Clinton White House and Leading Cities speaks to a person with experience and vision. I am proud to endorse him as the next Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts.”
Lake said he was proud to have the support of Turner because he is a longtime public servant.
“I couldn’t be more honored to have the support of Turner because he is such a true grassroots and community leader. He works everyday on the matters that most impact people."
A former appointee in the Clinton Administration, Lake is the President and CEO of Leading Cities. He launched his campaign for Lieutenant Governor in March 2013 and has amassed support from activists, business leaders, labor unions, social justice organizations and major government leaders, including former Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis and State Senator Sonia Chang-Diaz.
