MIKE LAKE
DEMOCRAT FOR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR
State Representatives Russell Holmes and Gloria Fox Endorse Mike Lake for Lieutenant Governor

Boston – The campaign of Mike Lake, Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor for Massachusetts, earned two additional endorsements Thursday from State Representatives Russell Holmes (D-Boston) and Gloria Fox (D-Roxbury).

Citing his commitment to job growth and record of public service, Holmes called Lake the right leader at the right time to occupy the Lieutenant Governor’s office.

“Mike Lake is ready to be the next Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts, and I am proud to endorse him. Mike is a leader, a listener and hard worker. He will strive to bring more jobs to Massachusetts and be the most inclusive Lieutenant Governor that his state has ever seen.”

"I am proud to have the support of State Representative Russell Holmes,” Lake said. “I have championed diversity and inclusion every day in this campaign and will continue to do so. I believe that we have many challenges in Massachusetts, particularly in the realm of homeless, housing and income inequity, that I will continue to champion every day."

Fox echoed Lake’s record, passion for Boston and commitment to solving long-term problems.

“I am thrilled to endorse Mike Lake for Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts,” Fox said. “I’m supporting him for several reasons. He’s the only Boston-based candidate in the Lieutenant Governor’s race who has also traveled throughout Massachusetts. He understands the needs of Boston and cities across the Commonwealth. He also has a personal perspective that is critical to serving the people and coming up with creative, long-term solutions.”

Lake said he was honored to have the support of such esteemed public leaders. “I couldn’t be more honored to have Fox’s support. She works hard every day for the people of Massachusetts and knows that as Lt. Governor, I would do exactly the same.”

President and CEO of Leading Cities, Lake launched his campaign for Lieutenant Governor in March 2013 and has amassed support from activists, business leaders, labor unions and social justice organizations.
